Day 8 of 14 Days of Valentines

8 Feb

Date of the Day: Build a snowman together. It’s fun and reminds you what it was like to be a little kid.

Gift of the Day: Find something small and pretty at a trinket store. A ceramic jewelry box, some stained glass, a beautiful stone, a small painting, glass flower.

Quote of the Day:

At the touch of love, everyone becomes a poet.

Plato

Tip of the Day: Catch your love’s eye while they are reading the newspaper or otherwise engaged in concentration.  When they look up and make eye contact back, smile and tell them how much you love them.

Love letter of the Day:

To my beloved

You are the most special person in my life and I love you from the core of my heart. You are there in me, in my thoughts and in my dreams. Without you my life loses its meanings. Even an hour with you causes pain in my heart. I wish we would never part.
Yours forever
Mitali

Poem of the Day:

She Walks In Beauty
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o’er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling place.

And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!

Lord Byron

Valentine’s Day Story:

My favorite Valentine’s Day was the year I received flowers at work the week before Valentine’s Day with this note “I couldn’t wait until Valentine’s Day to say I Love You.”  It was more of a surprise to get them early and such a great way of telling me he loved me.  We just celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary and I wouldn’t trade him for anything!

Happy Valentine’s Day!
